每到“三八”国际劳动妇女节来临之际，各地就会涌现出一批女性艺术家展览。作为率先成立女艺术家委员会的北京美术家协会，在团结和凝聚女艺术家方面发挥了首善之区的示范作用，已连续举办多届女艺术家作品展。今年的展览以“暖”为主题，呈现首都女艺术家的创作面貌，展示北京艺术生态中的女性力量。与此同时，中国女画家协会以及各地分会也纷纷举办“多彩”“我型我塑”“艺境悠游·芳华绽放”等女艺术家作品展。有趣的是，这些展览的策展人都是女性。
